Honey Boo Boo or Success?

Being a Southern California hard money lender, you are probably wondering why I would have a title about Honey boo Boo? I’ll explain.

Although we don’t watch a lot of TV, my wife and I were watching Denver vs Atlanta on Monday Night Football for 3 ½ hours. Afterwards, we started channel surfing and came across a program we never watched before called Honey Boo Boo. We only have heard of this before(never seen) so we watched and were amazed that people actually watched that junk.

We kept watching it because of the fascination and how bizarre it was. It went on for a long time and we were actually into a 2nd Honey Boo Boo program until the pet pig (Ditzy) crapped on the kitchen table!!

Feeling rather embarrassed at the waste of time, I reflected what in the world I was doing. Was my life that boring that I could plug my head into the TV for hours on end. I could have been working on my San Diego hard money loan blog or getting out letters of intent for hard money loans in Los Angeles.

Someone once told me that successful people have SMALL TV’s and large libraries and unsuccessful people have LARGE TV’s and usually no library. I could have been gearing myself towards success or doing something constructive.

Next time I’ll think twice about what I do with my time and then ask myself will it help me succeed or check out until I’m ready to get serious?
